Refund & Cancellation Policy

अंतिम अद्यतन: 5 September 2026

This policy explains when a puja booking made on shrimahakaldham.com can be cancelled or rescheduled and how refunds are made. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.

1. Cancellation by you

• More than 48 hours before the scheduled puja date/time: full refund of the amount paid, less any non-refundable payment-gateway charges.
• Within 48 hours of the scheduled puja, or after the puja has started: no refund. By this time the puja samagri has been bought and the pandit has been reserved for you.
• Before a puja date has been assigned: full refund (less gateway charges) at any time.
• To cancel, call or WhatsApp us on 0771-4050500 or email shrimahakaldham9@gmail.com with your booking/order number. The time of your message will be treated as the cancellation time.

2. Rescheduling

You may request a new date once, free of charge, if you tell us at least 48 hours before the scheduled puja. The new date is subject to pandit availability and auspicious muhurat. Requests inside 48 hours will be accommodated only if possible; otherwise the cancellation rules above apply.

3. Cancellation by us

If we are unable to perform the puja for any reason (pandit unavailability, temple closure, natural calamity, government restriction, technical failure, or incorrect pricing on the website), we will offer you an alternative date or a 100% refund of the amount paid, including gateway charges.

4. Failed or duplicate payments

If money was deducted but you did not receive a booking confirmation, the amount is usually reversed by your bank within 5–7 working days. If it is not, contact us with the transaction reference and we will trace it with our payment gateway. Duplicate payments for the same booking are refunded in full.

5. Prasad

Prasad is a sacred offering and cannot be returned or exchanged. If a prasad parcel arrives damaged or does not arrive within 15 days of dispatch, contact us within 7 days and we will send a replacement where possible.

6. How refunds are paid

• Refunds are made only to the original payment method (UPI, card, bank account or wallet) used for the booking.
• Approved refunds are initiated within 7 working days of the cancellation request. The amount usually reaches your account within 5–10 working days after that, depending on your bank.
• We will send you a refund confirmation by SMS/WhatsApp or email.

7. Not covered

Refunds are not given because a puja did not produce a hoped-for result. Pujas are devotional acts performed with faith; we do not and cannot promise any specific outcome (see our Disclaimer).
